Clean Up, Build Up

Clean Up, Build Up

Clean Up, Build Up is a multi-year partnership with the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. We work together with residents, local jurisdictions, and utility companies to help revitalize under-resourced neighborhoods by demolishing dilapidated buildings, clearing overgrown brush, installing lighting and doorbell cameras.

RBC held events in the Glasgow Village in St. Louis County and the College Hill Neighborhood in St. Louis City, working closely with the Urban League to install household security cameras and doorbells for residents.

RBC members, their companies, and community volunteers convened in the College Hill neighborhood to build up “Peace Park” at the base of the Grand Water Tower, in the only neighborhood without an official park in the City of St. Louis. Volunteers removed debris and trash from the neighborhood, cleared lots, boarded up windows with murals from local artists, installed a pavilion, and installed playground equipment thanks to the generosity of RBC members.

RBC has held similar events in Cahokia, IL, Kinloch, and Wellston, and after the May 16, 2025, tornado in St. Louis, RBC members mobilized to help clear streets of rubble and downed trees to help get the community back on its feet.

Clean Up, Build Up is made possible by the dedication of our members to bettering the quality of life in our region, particularly in the most under-resourced areas. By donating their time, money, and expertise, the RBC and its partners are able to give commmunities a neighborhood they are proud of…one block at a time.
