Diversity, Equity, And Inclusion
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are core business issues. RBC members are engaged in regional and organizational commitments around using our collective influence and capabilities to help shape a more equitable future for our region. Our goal is to cultivate a welcoming and globally attractive regional business environment, and address systemic racism through education, commitments and investments.
Our Focus
-
In an effort to promote diversity of talent in our community, the RBC is proud to partner with organizations dedicated to encouraging the success and development of minority professionals in our region. Working with the Mosaic Project, we recognize attracting international talent to St. Louis is important to enhancing the global business perspective of our area.
RBC supports the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis’ Save Our Sons and Sisters, Young Professional Network and Neighborhood Revitalization.
Additionally we support the Hispanic and Asian American Chambers of Commerce, to continually focus our energy and attention on initiatives designed to support the advancement of professionals of color and promote minority-owned businesses.

Led by RBC members Greg Twardowski and Michael Kennedy, CEO of KAI Enterprises, this initiative pairs RBC members with CEOs of Black and Brown-owned businesses to provide high-level coaching and support over the course of a year. Participants have access to a range of resources and advanced business tools, including pro bono legal counsel. But what makes this initiative unique to RBC is the central focus of the program, the opportunity for the CEO of a Black and Brown-owned business to have a one-on-one relationship with the CEO of an RBC company. Participating CEOs of Black and Brown-owned businesses come from diverse backgrounds and industry, with 60% of CEOs in the initial cohort being female.

Designed to give RBC members the tools and resources to help them increase their corporate spend in regional Black-owned businesses. This initiative not only helps our members achieve their objectives around inclusive spending, but also works alongside our coaching program to build the capacity of Black-owned businesses to successfully compete for more contracts.
