Principles of a Stronger Community
To realize our more focused vision of our future, we have identified six guiding principles. Simple words and phrases on their own, but powerful in their totality. We strongly feel more intentional integration of these principles into our problem solving will help us develop a more holistic, inclusive and effective approach to create lasting sustainable change in our region. We believe that if we work together, we will rise together — one child, one home, one school and one job at a time.

We embrace the uncertainty of a situation by working with others to help us solve our problems, saving both time and money along the way.
Accountability
We want to ensure that we and the organizations we collaborate with follow through on our commitments
Generosity
We prioritize supporting those currently in need and at-risk in order to protect the well-being of the community as a whole.
Inclusion
We understand our differences, work to provide equal access to all pepole, and strive to create a welcoming community.
Open-Mindedness
We are receptive to ideas that are different from our own and take in various perspectives relating to the issues we address.
Urgency
We intend to act on solutions and solve problems in a timely manner to prevent them from becoming more complex with time.
