Diversity is a core business issue. To be successful in the 21st century, companies must have a diversified workforce. The Regional Business Council works to create a vibrant, minority-friendly business community, both by increasing the hiring and promoting of minorities and by broadening the pool of minority supplier contracts within RBC companies.
- Increasing minority recruitment, hiring & retention.
The RBC is focused on recruiting young minority talent to St. Louis, and partners with InSight St. Louis to bring students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to the region.
The RBC launched the Young Professionals Network to attract and retain young minority talent to the region and to give these future leaders unique opportunities for networking, professional development and community involvement. Members have the opportunity to attend social, philanthropic, cultural and professional development opportunities throughout the year.
